Our solidification and encapsulation services are provided to clients who have accumulated radioactive wastes that need to be conditioned prior to disposal. We provide a complete integrated service or individual services to suit client requirements. This covers all aspects of waste assessment, formulation development, disposal authorisation, site operation and transport.

Doosan Babcock is experienced in retrieval and solidification of lubricating oil, ion exchange resin, incinerator ash, pond sludges, dessicants, filter sludges, filter media, catalysts, filter cartridges, solid waxes and decontamination fluids.

We have disposal agreements and quality assurance arrangements in place with Drigg for the conditioning and disposal of wet low level waste (LLW). This enables us to minimise lead times of our projects.

Our plants are modular in design which enables the various sub-systems to be selected according to project requirements. This permits flexibility to accommodate different site layouts and enables cost effective deployment as only those sub-systems required are deployed.
