Working with Doosan Babcock you are in a safe pair of hands. Doosan Babcock Inspection Engineers are experienced in assessing every aspect of a boiler's condition, carrying out detailed investigations of areas of concern and giving practical advice on their findings. They will identify any deterioration taking place, explain its significance and recommend action to prevent greater problems further down the line. Plant operators and Insurance Inspectors alike recognise Doosan Babcock's long history and excellent reputation in this field, and appreciate the peace of mind of knowing their boilers have been thoroughly examined by experts.
Our Inspection team uses a variety of specialist tools and techniques such as thermography, replication, NDT, endoscopes and other remote video equipment to ensure that all aspects of a boiler have been thoroughly investigated. These surveys can form part of routine assessments and can also be targeted at particular troubleshooting issues. Once we have identified any cause for concern, our boiler OEM capability means that we can call upon experts in all aspects of design to come up with solutions for even the most complex problems.
Early regular surveys and inspections allow boiler operators to plan the repair of any damage and take preventative action to ensure reliable, efficient and safe plant operation in the future.
We carry out our surveys on utility, industrial, waste heat and marine boilers. The surveys can include:
- The water and gas paths
- Pressure parts
- Boiler casings
- Supporting arrangement
- Ductwork
- Expansion joints
- Ancillary plant
- Combustion conditions
- Water chemistry
