Doosan Babcock has been supplying once through Benson type boilers since the 1950's. Over the years we have proved that we have the ability to exploit our world-class technology in order to keep pace with changing markets and changing customer needs.

The once through boiler is the only type that can be used to operate at supercritical pressures and is, therefore, crucially important for more modern high efficiency, lower emission power plants. Doosan Babcock supplies both the 'conventional' spiral wound furnace and the vertical 'Posiflow' furnace once through designs. Units operating at both subcritical (<221.2 bar a / 3208.2 PSI a) and supercritical pressures have been produced.

We now have the skills and the experience to tackle any project from new build to total refurbishment and ongoing maintenance. Recent successful projects include the design and supply of 2 x 600MW once through supercritical boilers for the Shanxi Luji Wangqu Power Generation Co. site in China.
